I’m a conceptual Creative/Art Director with a passion for making authentic work that connects with people.
I hate almost every piece of advertising ever made.
Most of what’s out there is just noise. Brands either say nothing or stand for nothing.
The best work’s either completely nuts and makes you laugh. Or it makes you think and actually does good in the world. Either way, that’s the kind of work I strive to make.
I’m a champion of diversity. I speak at local schools to get young People of Colour to challenge the cultural pressures we face against creative careers. I’ve also worked with Campaign on a number of projects to talk about how hard it is to break into the industry as a junior POC.
Most recently, I spoke on a panel at Cannes Lions Festival about how to best help junior and diverse talent to thrive.
I started in advertising by winning a scholarship to the School of Communication Arts 2.0, through Brixton Finishing School. I’m forever grateful for the opportunities BFS gave me and am inspired by the work they’re doing in changing the makeup of the creative industries. At Grey London, I headed up the partnership between the agency and Brixton Finishing School, giving talks to the intake as well as organising mentoring and networking for the students.
